Expenses for schooling include uniforms, teacher salaries, materials and a daily meal.

- Secondary School (grades 9-12): $150 per year
- Vocational School: $150 per year
- Hire a Teacher: $100/month or $1,200/year
Shelter the Homeless
Through the orphanage at Grison-Garde and the community for elders, the Ford Foundation provides homes to more than 50 orphans.

- Building a cement block home for the elderly: $2,750
- Salary for one orphanage "momma" for one month: $75
Feed the Hungry
At the orphanage and school, meals are served to orphans as well as students who come from the community of Grison-Garde. For some community children, this is the only meal they will receive each day. In total, the school serves around 130,000 meals each year.

Provide Clean Water
Access to clean water for drinking and bathing helps prevent the spread of disease. The people of Grison-Garde have the skills and the manpower to build new wells where they are lacking. They just need the funding to make them a reality.
